The sixth angel poured out his bowl
on the great river Euphrates,
and its water was dried up
to prepare the way for the kings from the East.
Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs;
they came out of the mouth of the dragon,
out of the mouth of the beast
and out of the mouth of the false prophet.They are spirits of demons
performing miraculous signs,
and they go out to the kings of the whole world,
to gather them for the battle
on the great day of God Almighty."Behold, I come like a thief!
Blessed is he who stays awake
and keeps his clothes with him,
so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."
Then they gathered the kings together
to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

In preparing for the future, I'm not speaking about retirement or building a solid a savings account or making out your will - as good as these things are. I'm speaking about preparations for your soul.

The word "Armageddon" appears only once in Scripture. But once you read it, and once you understand what it means, you'll never forget it for the rest of your life.

The name "Armageddon" is a Hebrew word which literally means, "Mountain of Megiddo."

The great Book of Revelation in the Word of God promises that in the final analysis, ... when the dust has settled, ... when it's all been said and done, in the face of the meanest, cruelest, fiercest, attack against the Children of God by Satan and his diabolical forces of hell, the Lord Jesus Christ will return to defeat His enemies and deliver His people once and for all. It will be the greatest and most intense battle the world will have ever known!

This great battle will one day take place in "The Valley of Megiddo" in the nation of Israel.

Just as no other country has experienced more wars and battles than Israel, no other place, no other site, no other location on all the Earth has experienced more battles than the Valley of Megiddo in Israel.

ARMAGEDDON AND THE MOVIE INDUSTRY

The movie industry has spent billions of dollars depicting meteors, comets and asteroids coming toward this planet in their attempts to destroy mankind from off the face of the earth. Hollywood has gone to great lengths with films such as:

"2001 Space Odyssey,"
"The Andromeda Strain,"
"Alien I,"
"Alien II,"
"Alien III,"
"Close Encounters Of The Third Kind,"
"ET: The Extraterrestrial,"
"Star Wars,"
"Contact,"
"Men in Black,"
"Independence Day"
"Lost in Space," and
"The X Files."

Little by little, society is being prepared for the possibility of - as the world presumes - extra terrestrial alien life forces in our universe. The entertainment industry along with the New Age Movement is doing its part to prepare society for a future mass disappearance of multitudes of people.

Many would view this as mere entertainment. Maybe so ... by worldly standards. But even though most of these movies are inaccurately off base, out in left field and out of the ball park altogether, this demonstrates the interest, the fascination, the appeal and the magnetism of our society with such matters as the end times and the supernatural.

All in all, even the unsaved know that something is going to happen.
Something has got to give. They may say it in terms like "The world is going to end," or "The world is coming to an end." Nevertheless, there is a thirst and a hunger to somehow find some answers.

There's no doubt about it, the world really is on a collision course with Armageddon. It's not because of nuclear recklessness or the result of foreign policy gone bad. Armageddon and everything that surrounds it, has been defined, predicted and foretold in the Scriptures for centuries. God has established a timetable for man's existence -a timetable that is clearly detailed in the Word of God.

I want to illustrate to you, using the Word of God, the biblical pattern for the end times. I want to illustrate to you the end-time chronological order of events that have already taken place as well as those things that are still to happen. I believe we're living in a time where, more than ever before, this wicked and complacent generation needs strong warning with relation to the future. The balance of this, is that God is assuring us what we can do to prepare for what lies ahead.

One of the reasons why it is so very important to study "biblical eschatology," is because even most Christians don't have a full understanding of what the bible says about the future (eschatology meaning, the study of the last things or the study of the end times).

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).

Are you prepared to give those answers to everyone who asks you?

Are you studying the Word of God to show yourself approved unto God?

Out of the 260 chapters in the entire Bible, 318 verses in the New Testament alone tell us that Jesus Christ is coming back again. Thirty three percent of those verses in the New Testament tell us that Jesus Christ is coming back again TO THIS EARTH. One out of thirty verses of Scripture mentions or points to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The point is: If the Word of God focuses that much on End-time Bible Prophecy, don't you think God's Children should be serious students of the same?

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV).

As you begin to gain a greater knowledge, understanding and insight of God's Word as it relates to Bible Prophecy, our prayer is that God will bless you and equip you to help others in their desire for an abundant, fulfilled and meaningful life
